Cyrille Dubois
Cyrille Dubois is one of the leading French tenors of his generation, whose wide repertoire ranges from baroque to contemporary music, from classical to French opera comique. He trained at the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique, after which he was admitted to the Paris Opera’s renowned Atelier Lyrique, where he gained his first stage experience. In 2015, he won the Révélation Artiste Lyrique award at the Victoires de la Musique. Cyrille Dubois, who began his career as a boy soprano at the Maîtrise de Caen, has sung roles such as Nathanaël (»Les contes d’Hoffmann«), Ferrando (»Così fan tutte«), Brighella (»Ariadne auf Naxos«), Count Almaviva (»Il barbiere di Siviglia«), Gérald (»Lakmé«), Tybalt (»Roméo et Juliette«), Gonzalve (»L’heure espagnole«), Marzio (»Mitridate«), Belmonte (»Die Entführung aus dem Serail«), Oronte (»Alcina«), Don Ramiro (»La Cenerentola«), Horace (»Le domino noir«), the title role of »Hippolyte et Aricie« as well as Tamino and Nadir (»Les pêcheurs de perles«). He appears at leading opera houses in France and Europe and works closely with the Palazzetto Bru Zane and the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles. Conductors he has worked with include Thomas Hengelbrock, Laurence Equilbey, Ivor Bolton, Raphaël Pichon, Christophe Rousset, Philippe Jordan, Marc Minkowski and Emmanuelle Haïm. His many outstanding recordings include the Mélodies by Gabriel Fauré, which he recorded in their entirety with his duo partner Tristan Raës.
