Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio
Organist Delvon Lamarr describes his trio’s style as »soul music with a strong jazz influence« and credits their sound to the special chemistry between the band members, making each concert a totally unique experience, completely in tune with the audience and energy of the evening. Multi-instrumentalist Delvon Lamarr founded the trio ten years ago together with his wife and manager Amy Nuovo – with a guitarist and a drummer. Together they create a catchy sound that blends nostalgic retro vibes with modern groove. Their aim: feel-good music for a better world – and they have stayed true to this ambition. With the release of several Billboard chart albums and sold-out concerts worldwide, they have long since become a household name in the scene.
The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, also known as DLO3, moves between the 1960s organ jazz styles of Jimmy Smith and Baby Face Willette, the snappy soul sound of Booker T. & The M.G.’s and The Meters – and mixes in some unexpected ingredients from Motown, Stax Records, funk and blues. In addition to their dynamic original compositions, the trio captivates audiences with their distinctive interpretations of well-known classics, ranging from cool and laid-back to outright explosive. DLO3 concerts are more than just live performances – they are spontaneous, improvised musical journeys that take every audience on an emotional rollercoaster. Anyone who has been there knows that this sound goes straight to the heart and soul – and stays there.
