Janoska Ensemble
Now in their sixth generation, they make music with passion, virtuosity and always as a family: brothers Ondrej, Roman and František Jánoška from Bratislava also let their brother-in law Julius Darvas be part of the »Janoska Style«. The Janoska Ensemble’s infinitely rich mix of jazz, classical, pop and world music is synonymous with high art and the height of pleasure at the same time. All four musicians have not only enjoyed world-class musical training, but have also been masters of ensemble playing and spontaneous improvisation since childhood. Three further success factors are their spirit of unbridled creativity, their playful love of improvisation and their inexhaustible enjoyment of making music together. This not only makes for a fantastic live experience, but also for four excellent sell-out albums: their debut »Janoska Style« was released in 2016, followed by »Revolution« in 2019, »The Big B‘s« in 2022 and »The Four Seasons in Janoska Style« in 2024. In recognition of their outstanding musical achievements, the ensemble was honoured with the Slovakian national Crystal Wing Award in 2023.
