    Programme:
Georg Böhm: Praeludium, Fuga & Postludium in G minor
Dieterich Buxtehude: Te Deum laudamus BuxWV 218
Johann Sebastian Bach: Partita diversa sopra »Ach, was soll ich Sünder machen« BWV 770, Concerto in D minor BWV 596 (after Vivaldi RV 565), Aria in F major BWV 587 (after François Couperin) and Passacaglia in C minor BWV 582

The origins of the organ in Otterndorf can be traced back to the Renaissance. In the tradition of North German organ builders, Dietrich Christoph Glober reused some elements from the original instrument that were in good condition to rebuild the organ in 1741/2. Pipes from 1553 can still be found in the instrument today. After years in poor condition, the organ underwent an extensive restoration by the Ahrend workshop (Leer) in 2023. Since its inauguration on 20 October 2024, people in Otterndorf are justifiably proud of this gem again. And the fact that an American artist of the calibre of Nathan Laube, who has performed at the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the Sejong Centre in Seoul, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and St Paul’s Cathedral in London, accepted our invitation to Otterndorf without a moment’s hesitation speaks for itself, doesn’t it?
