Antonio Vivaldi: »The Four Seasons in Janoska Style«

The members of the Janoska Ensemble are classically trained, but they are so active in the international language of music, that the ensemble transcends genres with its entirely improvisational »Janoska Style«. Whether jazz, classical, pop or world music tunes, the four musicians have an instinctive feel for rhythm and timing and are deeply musical. This means they can establish instant communication and make music with such joy and virtuosity that they liven up any venue! In 2025, they tackle Vivaldi’s legendary »Four Seasons« in honour of the work’s 300th anniversary. It goes without saying that the Janoskas make the dance parts even more vibrant, more spirited and more exuberant, while the quiet movements become more intimate and more expressive. The Janoska Ensemble also adds an extra composed passage to each movement, which easily surpasses the level of difficulty of Vivaldi’s violin concertos. It is absolutely captivating how two violins, a double bass and a piano can transform a classic into a completely new, contemporary interpretation.
