Ulrich Matthes is one of Germany’s most recognisable actors. He has been a member of the Deutsches Theater Berlin for two decades and is a star of film and television. Thanks to his clear diction, he was also awarded the German Audio Book Prize in 2003 for his work as a voice actor. With »Übers Meer«, he and Ukrainian-German pianist Olena Kushpler have created a programme combining literature and music in which they follow the yearning for the sea that has inspired poets and composers time and again – all aboard!
