Whether performing with period or modern instruments, the quartet&#8217;s programme ranges from Renaissance works and Romantic string quartets to newly commissioned compositions.<\/p>\n<p>This artistic diversity has led them to perform at some of the world\u2019s most prestigious venues, including the Berlin Philharmonie, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and the Konzerthaus Berlin. They have also appeared at renowned festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Verbier Festival.<br \/>\nIn the 2024\/25 season, the quartet became artists-in-residence at the Cologne Philharmonie, where they gave six acclaimed concerts, ranging from a quartet recital and chamber music performances with artists such as Dmitry Ablogin (piano) and Iveta Apkalna (organ), to Wolfgang Rihm\u2019s Concerto for String Quartet and Orchestra with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. Highlights of the current season include debuts at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and at the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg-Hohenems.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside their numerous performances, the Alinde Quartet is passionate about educating the next generation. Through interactive formats such as participatory concerts, open rehearsals and school projects, the musicians invite children and young people to discover the fascinating world of chamber music for themselves \u2013 live and hands-on.<\/p>\n<p>The Alinde Quartet is currently working on the ambitious project #schubert200 (H\u00e4nssler Classic\/Deutschlandfunk). By the 200th anniversary of the composer\u2019s death in 2028, the ensemble will have made new recordings of all of Franz Schubert\u2019s string quartets.
