Open Air event moved from market square to Domshof

In view of the expected audience turnout, the open-air finale with the techno marching band MEUTE will be moved from the market square to the Domshof. The large round stage that was also used in previous years, will now be set up in front of the ALEX restaurant on the north side of the Domshof, providing the audience with a significantly larger area than on the market square, extending all the way to the Neptune Fountain.

MEUTE, the techno marching band from Hamburg with their iconic red brass band uniforms has already achieved cult status! Using only acoustic instruments, they are revolutionary for combining the hypnotic, pumping sound of techno, house and deep house with punchy brass band music. The idea was born in a Berlin club in 2014. The techno was booming and MEUTE mastermind Thomas Burhorn stood there, feeling the rhythm and energy of the music, when he looked up at the DJ booth and thought to himself: there really should be more going on up there. What would it be like if a brass band were standing up there, raving live? That was the beginning! He then drummed up an eleven-piece band of brass players, percussionists and drummers. The first tracks went viral in no time and their hypnotic sound and energetic performances quicky made the electrifying marching band MEUTE into one of the most-booked festival acts – with worldwide acclaim from Coachella to MS Dockville all the way to the Hollywood Bowl! MEUTE performing open-air, live and for free on Bremen’s market square to close this year’s Musikfest? Prepare to be blown away!
