The Irini Ensemble specialises in early sacred music from East and West, between Rome and Constantinople. The polymorphous vocal ensemble, whose name is derived from the Greek word for »peace«, illuminate the byzantine repertoire and the compositions of the European Renaissance and Middle Ages with new, warm and deep colours.

Founded in 2014 by Lila Hajosi, Irina are internationally renowned for their high standards and their unique, extraordinary and daring approach. They are frequent guests at prestigious French and international festivals. In their projects and albums such as »Maria Nostra« (awarded the Choc de Classica), »O Sidera«, »Printemps Sacré, vivre, mourir, (re)naître« and »Janua«, a spiritual depth unfolds, a mystical journey begins and beguiling music that goes from the ears straight to the soul resounds.
