Lehmanns Brothers? Don’t worry, they didn’t name themselves after shady New York bankers, but after a garage on the Avenue Lehmann in Angoulême in the south-west of France. It was here that five music students founded a band who devote themselves to a revival of jazz, funk and Afrobeat – but that’s only the beginning. Adding influences from rap, hip-hop, neo-soul and house, their original compositions captivate audiences with their energetic sound full of explosive, groovy rhythms. The Lehmanns Brothers – they funk it up!

HOW IT WORKS
Around the market square, nine venues will each host two 45-minute concerts in three time slots. All venues will have two shared intervals for spontaneous encounters and stimulating exchanges. Individual tickets can be booked for all events at a standard price of 30 euros, so you can choose for yourself whether you would like to attend one, two or three concerts to start off the festival!
