Ensemble Pariser Flair
Pariser Flair is a German-French operatic ensemble specialised in combining music, theatre and cabaret. With charm, humour and a high degree of artistry, the duo bring the French way life closer to their audience – often with a wink and always with their own distinct artistic approach.
The members are classically trained and are known for their versatility and stage presence. They combine chansons, classical music, drama and literary elements to create diverse programmes that are usually centred around a theme. For their project »Poseidon und die Plastiksee« (Poseidon and the Sea of Plastic), the duo are joined by two more singers, a pianist and a percussionist, making Pariser Flair into a six-person ensemble. Behind the scenes, the stage direction and costume design are of the essence!
With »Poseidon und die Plastiksee«, Pariser Flair address the topic of environmentalism, in particular plastic pollution in the oceans. In a musical fairy tale, they tell the story of the god Poseidon, who is horrified to realise how much his oceans have been polluted by humans. The play is aimed at children aged ten and over and combines music, drama and environmental education in a creative way. The story raises awareness of ecological concerns and invites children to think and act – without wagging a finger, but with imagination, humour and musical flair.
