Verità Baroque is an innovative collective of young musicians specialising in period instruments. They are one of the most charismatic ensembles in the world of Baroque music. The title »Solo contro tutti« represents the two kinds of concertos that emerged in the Baroque era: solo and grosso. While Antonio Vivaldi was one of the leading figures of the solo concerto, Arcangelo Corelli was considered the grand master of the concerto grosso. With their infectious enthusiasm, the ensemble demonstrates how these two Baroque concepts of the »Concerto« (from the Latin »concerto«/to compete and the Italian »concertare«/to work together) led to groundbreaking innovations. Alongside this, Erasmus Bielfeldt’s organ, completed in 1734, one of the most important historical instruments in northern Germany from Bach’s time, will also be put to use: with the Pastorale, arguably the most famous work of Italian Baroque composer Domenico Zipoli.
