Cuban pianist and composer Roberto Fonseca, former member of the Buena Vista Social Club, celebrates the golden age of Cuban music with »La Gran Diversión« (The Great Fun). Inspired by the legendary Paris cabaret of the 1930s »Cabane Cubaine«, the programme combines rousing rhythms, dazzling brass sections and enchanting piano melodies. From mambo and cha-cha-cha to bolero and rumba, »La Gran Diversión« sets off musical fireworks and is an electrifying homage to Cuba’s vibrant and infectious zest for life!

Around the market square, nine venues will each host two 45-minute concerts in three time slots. All venues have two shared intervals for spontaneous encounters and stimulating exchanges. Individual tickets can be booked for each event at a standard price of 33 euros, so you can choose for yourself whether you would like to attend one, two or three concerts to start off the festival!
