Note: Unfortunately, the Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki will not be able to perform at this concert with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen under the baton of Tarmo Peltokoski in the Oldenburg State Theatre. The Finnish-Cuban pianist Anton Meijas will take his place as soloist. The programme remains unchanged. All purchased tickets remain valid.

In October 2023, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen was named »Orchestra of the Year 2023« at the Gramophone Classical Music Awards, another milestone in their success story. As this was a public vote, this honour shows once again the enormous esteem the Hanseatic city’s leading musical ambassadors are held in by a worldwide fan base. Tarmo Peltokoski became Principal Guest Conductor of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen in January 2022. The 23-year-old’s career is currently skyrocketing and he recently signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon. As a Finn himself, Tarmo Peltokoski has a special relationship with the music of his famous compatriot Jean Sibelius, whose distinctive characteristics he reveals in his sixth and seventh symphonies. And for Beethoven’s arguably most beautiful piano concerto, he has a highly talented young artist at his side in the Finnish-Cuban pianist Anton Mejias, with whom he already appeared in August 2023 on the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s stage in the legendary Hollywood Bowl – what a promising line-up!
