Programme:
Gioachino Rossini: Sinfonia from »William Tell«
Franz Liszt: Piano Concerto No. 1 in E flat major S 124

Jérémie Rhorer and Le Cercle de l’Harmonie have already provided the Musikfest with countless highlights. The French conductor elicits such refreshing, finely balanced and technically masterful playing from his period instrument ensemble, that unexpected nuances in the scores are revealed each time. Yulianna Avdeeva, an equally passionate performer, joins the ensemble for Liszt’s impactful first piano concerto. The world famous pianist, winner of the 2010 Warsaw Chopin Competition, will interpret Liszt’s masterpiece on an 1838 Erard Fortepiano – with her refined touch and impeccable sense of phrasing and rhythmic tension.
