Robin Pharo studied the viola da gamba with Jean-Louis Charbonnier, Caroline Howald and Ariane Maurette, before continuing his education with Christophe Coin at the Conservatoire de Paris. He is a founding member of Nevermind, an ensemble centred around Jean Rondeau, winner of the Musikfest young musicians’ award, with whom he appeared at the Musikfest in 2025. Robin Pharo has also collaborated with other renowned ensembles, including Pygmalion, Aedes, Le Poème Harmonique, La Rêveuse, Marguerite Louise and La Tempête. He also worked on productions by Benjamin Lazar and appeared with Bobby McFerrin at the Théâtre du Châtelet. His projects with choreographer Thierry Thieû Niangn and the critically acclaimed stage production »Romances inciertos« (François Chaignaud/Nina Laisné) demonstrate his stylistic versatility.
