18 concerts, 9 venues and 3 time slots on a single evening – we guarantee variety, especially at the festival’s much-loved opening night around the market square. An eclectic mix of different eras and genres promises alluring sounds of all kinds, from opulent to intimate, from angelic to groovy. Not just famous and entertaining repertoire, but also rarities and new discoveries are performed by both renowned stars and exciting up-and-coming young talent. These exquisite and diverse performances are crowned by the atmospheric illuminations of lighting artist Christian Weißkircher, enveloping the festivities around Bremen's UNESCO World Heritage Town Hall and Roland statue in a bright and radiant glow.

How it works

Around the market square, nine venues will each host two 45-minute concerts in three time slots. All venues will have two shared intervals for spontaneous encounters and stimulating exchanges. Individual tickets can be booked for all events at a standard price of 33 euros, so you can choose for yourself whether you would like to attend one, two or three concerts to start off the festival!
